Dear Members of the Bellevue Police Officers Guild,

I am honored to have received your endorsement for my campaign for Bellevue City Council, Position 5.

As a Bellevue City Councilmember, I pledge to fully support the Bellevue Police Department.
While I have always relied on the safety provided by each of you to the City of Bellevue, the last 18 months I have become much more intimately aware of the effort, dedication and danger you face as you serve the people of Bellevue every day.

Meeting many officers in the presentations during the Community Police Academy, and witnessing the care, thoughtfulness, and comradery practiced by each of you on a daily basis has earned my admiration and trust.

The ride along showed me exactly how dangerous each seemingly innocuous encounter with the public can be.

Volunteering for the Police Advisory Council has helped me participate in outreach to the community.

I am glad I was able to give back somewhat by hosting 14 donors at the Police Foundation Breakfast this year.
I love the recent chats I have had with Officer Hanaumi, Sergeant Romero, Sergeant Rivera, Captain Spingler, and Major Sanabria.  You are insightful, straight-up, and dedicated to Bellevue, each other, and your calling.
